Answer

I am advised that the 6 January 2021 Capitol Attack was referenced twice in the 2025 statement of case, however, this event was not part of the assessment of the designation of the American Proud Boys as a terrorist entity under the provisions of the Terrorism Suppression Act 2002. I am advised a recommendation to renew a designation requires evidence from within the 3-year period since the last time that entity was designated to indicate that the entity continues to pose a risk of carrying out, or participating in carrying out, terrorist acts.
