Diplomatic engagement took place bilaterally and multilaterally to engagement to strengthen the resilience of New Zealand's fuel supply chains. The purpose of the tasking was to inform New Zealand's policy response. Economic impacts on New Zealand, including due to potential disruptions in oil supply through the Strait of Hormuz, was identified as an area to focus in diplomatic engagements with a range of partners including those in the Asia-Pacific.
