Hon Simeon Brown

Answer

As the Member will be aware, since 2023, Health New Zealand has employed around 2,000 additional nurses and hundreds of additional doctors. Further to this, our Government has announced a number of measures to strengthen the primary care workforce. This is all part of our focus on building a healthcare system that has patients at its centre.
