Answer

I am advised by the Ministry of Transport that the most recent restructure was the New Zealand Search and Rescue team change with final decision made on 30 March 2026. A total of six roles were affected by this restructure; five of these roles were either vacant or filled by a temporary incumbent, and no permanent staff were affected. I am advised by New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi that most recent restructure was the Customer and Services group, with the final decision made on 23 March 2026. A total of 18 roles were affected and resulted in a net change of 5 roles.
