Answer

I am advised that the most recent restructure within Police occurred on 9 February 2026, relating to the implementation of the Chief of Staff function. This restructure resulted in the disestablishment of one role and establishment of two new roles. The Serious Fraud Office (SFO), has initiated one change process since 27 November 2023, which concluded on 1 October 2024. It resulted in 11 roles being disestablished and four permanent staff being made redundant. Further information about role changes that did not result in redundancy is available in the SFO’s Annual Review and Estimates responses: https://www3.parliament.nz/en/pb/sc/submissions-and-advice/current?criteria.Keyword=%22serious+fraud%22&criteria.Author=&criteria.Timeframe=&criteria.DateFrom=2023-10-14&criteria.DateTo=&parliamentStartDate=2023-10-14&parliamentEndDate=&criteria.DocumentStatus=
