Answer
I am advised that the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) completed three recent change processes in March 2026: • Te Uru Rākau - New Zealand Forest Service confirmed structural changes within the Strategy, Engagement and Advice Directorate, affecting 11 positions: nine were reassigned and two roles were disestablished. • MPI Petone Office relocated to Ngauranga and other MPI offices in Wellington CBD: no roles were disestablished. • Biosecurity New Zealand’s Plant Health & Environment Laboratory aligned its operations to the Plant Health & Environment Capability programme, impacting seven positions: four were reassigned and three roles were disestablished. There was no net reduction in positions.
