What specific roles, by title and unit, were disestablished at the Ministry for the Environment in the year to 31 December 2025, broken down by the date of disestablishment, any redundancy costs, and the number of functions that have since been transferred to another agency or contracted to external providers, if any?

Answer
No permanent roles were disestablished in 2025. However, as part of the 2024 change process, a number of fixed term roles concluded in 2025. These roles had been filled by permanent staff who were not reassigned to a permanent role through the change process and were therefore entitled to a redundancy at the end of their fixed term assignment. I refer the Member to the attached table which shows the reduction in headcount. The total cost of redundancy in 2025 is $1,903,056.17 No functions were transferred to another agency or contracted to external providers.
