I am advised that the Department of Conservation’s internal budgets for the 2026/27 financial year have not yet been confirmed. In accordance with standard Departmental practice, once these have been confirmed, all budget holders will review their personnel budgets and fund roles according to organisational priorities, so the Department cannot provide the information requested. However, I am further advised that ongoing financial sustainability is considered when any position is established.
