Answer

I have directed Health New Zealand and the Ministry of Health to be actively involved in, and ready to implement any guidance from, the All-of-Government response.  As a result, a range of actions are underway to ensure that New Zealanders continue to receive the care and support they need. One specific action that has already been taken is to provide timely, temporary, and targeted support for home and community support workers by providing a 30 per cent boost to mileage rates.
